So I know that just by admitting this I am substantially upping my dork quotient, but last week Emma and I went to the Michael W. Smith concert here in Redding and let's just say we both walked away asking "Is it wrong to have a crush on a 50 yr-old?"
Yes, 50! Can you believe it?! Emma kept saying "He's only 2 years younger than my Dad!" We felt like we were back in high school again - the Katina's performed as well, and so did Melinda Doolittle (from American Idol). He's an amazing performer and composer and it really put us in the Christmas spirit. The whole time though, I was thinking, "Joe could SO do this!" (apart from the pesky piano playing part maybe...!)
So, check out the clip - it doesn't do it justice, but you get the idea.

"Uncle" & Emma
Simon and Emma (my bro & sister-in-law) just spent the past week with us and it was awesome. Of course we took them to all the fine establishments that America has to offer - Starbucks, Sonic Burger, SuperWalmart...you name it - we either ate there, or shopped there!
It was so nice to be with family and Bella absolutely LOVED them! Come back soon - the girls miss you already!

Chockas!
Only in America
So we just had the post-Thanksgiving Day sales here and for some reason a bunch of stores thought that it was entirely reasonable to open at 4 A.M!! Craziness I tell ya!
Needless to say I didn't set my alarm to line up at Penney's for a lousy snowglobe. However, Bella and I did brave the masses at about 10am, and although we weren't nabbing a super cheap big-screen TV, we were just as pleased with our $1.99 boardgames!
Note to Charlene & Julie: it just wasn't the same without you! I needed someone to sprint across the Macy's parking lot with, to scarf McMuffins and generally feel like dog-poo for the rest of the day with! Ah, but there's always next year...

Just to be fair...
We caved...
So we've finally joined the 21st century and got ourselves a blog. We don't have a clue what we're doing, but it should give us a few laughs none the less.
Basically we hope that this will be a great avenue to keep in touch with everyone and show off what beautiful babies we have (I have a feeling that's all we'll be doing!)
In fact, let's start right now....
