So we just had the post-Thanksgiving Day sales here and for some reason a bunch of stores thought that it was entirely reasonable to open at 4 A.M!! Craziness I tell ya!
Needless to say I didn't set my alarm to line up at Penney's for a lousy snowglobe. However, Bella and I did brave the masses at about 10am, and although we weren't nabbing a super cheap big-screen TV, we were just as pleased with our $1.99 boardgames!
Note to Charlene & Julie: it just wasn't the same without you! I needed someone to sprint across the Macy's parking lot with, to scarf McMuffins and generally feel like dog-poo for the rest of the day with! Ah, but there's always next year...

Well the tradition has also spread as far as Perth, Western Aus. Not that I've been to a ridgy didge American one, but I think the ones we have here with Dean & Lisa are pretty good (with Lisa at the helm). There's usually not enough room left for Pumpkin pie afterwards, but we always manage to fit it in.
Re. America & American things, we bought Dean & Lisa a tub of Jif peanut butter ($14.95 thank you very much....for a small tub) & a can of pumpkin pie filling (you can't get it here usually).
it's all so true!! But I have to say, knowing your such a die hard, I'm a little disapointed 4am sounds early to you....ha ha
Wish I could've been there. We would've had a blast
